Q: Can I order via Pro Forma Invoice?
Yes. Please contact us to get your Pro Forma invoice by email. Carefully review all details, as the product will be manufactured to that exact specification. Any changes must be submitted in writing within 3 working days of receiving your confirmation.

Delivery Times

Q: Can I request doors from a specific manufacturer?
We reserve the right to source products from
any reputable supplier. If a particular manufacturer is required, please inform us at the time of order.

Q: What are the delivery times for bespoke doors?

  • Bespoke flush doors: Delivered within 3–4 weeks
  • Bespoke glazed doors: Delivered within 4–5 weeks

Q: How quickly will stock doors arrive?

  • Stock flush doors: Delivered within 3–5 working days

Q: How quickly will glazed doors arrive?

  • glazed doors: Delivered within 7–10 working days

Q: What happens if there's a delay?
If, for any reason, we’re unable to meet the estimated delivery time, we’ll keep you informed via email with updates on your order’s progress.

Q: How long is the delivery window?
Deliveries are scheduled with a
20-minute time slot. If unloading takes longer than this, additional charges may apply.

Q: Can I inspect the goods during delivery?
Yes, the 20-minute time slot also allows ample time to inspect your goods for any damage or defects upon delivery.

Q: Will I need to assist with unloading?
Yes — some doors, especially
54mm models, can weigh up to 50kg.
All deliveries are kerbside deliveries, and
someone must be available on-site to assist the driver with offloading.

Product Storage & Installation

Q: How should I store the doors before installation?
Doors must be stored:

  • Flat on a pallet
  • In a dry, stable environment with no exposure to water or extreme humidity
  • Away from sudden temperature changes
    Failure to follow these guidelines may
    invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty.

Q: Should I inspect my doors before installation?
Yes. Before any work begins (such as milling for hinges or locks), please check for any faults or defects.

  • A bow of up to 4mm along the length is within manufacturing and BSS tolerances.
  • Tolerances of up to 3mm in height and width are also considered acceptable.

Q: Where can I find fitting instructions?
Installation instructions are
included with your product or are available online.
Please make sure to
read these thoroughly before fitting your doors.


Q: What happens once I start altering the doors?

Once you begin any modifications — such as
hanging, trimming, or milling for ironmongery — you are considered to have accepted the product in its delivered condition.

Defects & Order Cancellations

Q: What if there’s a manufacturing fault or incorrect product supplied?
In the rare event of a fault or error, we will,
at our discretion, offer to replace, rectify, or refund the product.

Please note:
We cannot accept responsibility for any consequential costs, such as additional machining, rehanging, or labor fees (e.g., carpenter/builder costs).

Q: Are natural marks or variations normal on veneered doors?
Yes. Veneered doors are made from
natural timber, so features like knots, grain variation, or slight twists may be present. Color differences are also common.

We’ll ensure doors from the same batch match closely, but we cannot guarantee a match with doors already on-site or from previous orders.

If an exact color match is essential, we recommend choosing veneer match doors.

Q: What should I do if I find a manufacturing defect?
Any manufacturing defects must be reported within 72 hours of delivery. If confirmed as a manufacturing fault, a refund or replacement will be issued.

Q: How do I report a defect?
Please email us clear photographs of the issue to info@qdoors.co.uk and our team will review your case promptly.

Q: Are there restocking fees for cancelled orders?
Yes. As all doors are sourced from external suppliers:

  • A 35% restocking fee applies to orders cancelled more than 48 hours after being placed.
  • Bespoke or made-to-order doors (e.g., laminate doors) are fully chargeable if cancelled after 48 hours, due to materials being sourced specifically for your job.

Distance Selling Regulations & Returns

Q: Do Distance Selling Regulations apply?
Yes — but only to
non-bespoke, standard products ordered without face-to-face contact or prior viewing.
They
do not apply to made-to-measure, bespoke, or special order items.

Q: What are my rights under the Distance Selling Regulations?
For applicable items, you may
cancel your order within 14 days of delivery. Cancellations must be made in writing via post or email and received within this period.

Q: Will I receive a full refund?
You will receive a
refund for the goods within 30 days.
Please note:

  • Delivery charges are non-refundable
  • Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility

Q: How should I return goods?
Returned items must be:

  • Undamaged and suitably packaged
  • Insured if returned via courier, to protect against damage in transit
