What is an internal laminate door?
An internal laminate door is faced with a high-pressure laminate (HPL) surface — a decorative layer bonded to the door under heat and pressure. This gives a tough, colour-stable finish that's easy to clean and far more resistant to scratches and wear than a painted or bare timber face.

Are laminate doors durable and easy to clean?
Yes. The HPL facing is hard-wearing and wipe-clean, which is why laminate doors are a popular choice for high-traffic areas in both commercial buildings and busy family homes. A wipe with a damp cloth is usually all that's needed to keep them looking fresh.

What's the difference between a laminate door and a veneer door?
A laminate door has a synthetic HPL surface that's highly durable and uniform in colour, while a veneer door has a thin layer of real wood, giving natural grain variation. Are your internal laminate doors fire-rated?
The doors in this collection are non-fire-rated. If you need fire protection, we offer a dedicated range of FD30 and FD60 Laminate Fire Doors with the same hard-wearing finishes.
